How to Make a Summer Dinner

Step 1: Get some corn.

Step 2: Put some corn hair on top of your own hair. Laugh for ten minutes.

Step 3: Get some awesome neighbors who have a huge organic vegetable garden and encourage you to pick all the fresh basil and tomatoes your heart desires.

Step 4: Make a caprese salad with fleur de sel, good cracked pepper, balsamic reduction, a touch of olive oil, and some good-quality water-packed mozzarella. Burn some bread on your new grill.

Step 5: Use your new grill to make Michelle's corn on the cob with parmesan and basil butter.

Step 6: Throw the corn off your plate. Throw it all over your clothes. Toss it onto the floor, preferably if the floor is carpet. If someone (say, a parent) asks you to stop, laugh in their face.

I love that I got two nods in this post! first the corn, then saya's dress! xoxo How did the corn come out? I just realized I forgot to mention in the recipe to turn the corn during the cooking process or else one side will get burned, even through the foil. Tell me that didn't happen!!!

that corn looks amazing! even scattered on saya's plate! i suddenly want corn. perhaps it's because i tried to order the late summer corn pasta with tomatoes last night at dinner only to find that they were all out of corn! out of corn! i bet that such things would never happen in bloomington.
